| ![]() I am sickened by the evil man. He didn't even have compassion for his own dog. From the NBC article "In Tierce's arrest warrant affidavit, Fort Worth police and animal control officers said they found Tierce's black and white border collie lying in a box on the floor of an exam room. Police said the dog was twitching in pain. One of its legs was missing, another was dislocated and two of its shoulders were dislocated. A vet tech, identified as Cynthia Welch, said the dog had been in that condition, and largely in the same location, since she started working there on June 2, 2013. Tierce admitted that the border collie was his dog and said he had provided the dog with only food and water and no medical attention."

| ![]() You know that if he treated his OWN dog like he did then he could not possibly care about the pets that were his patients. I Pray to God they shut him down forever. |

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | ![]() I went to my vet yesterday and he had read and heard about this person. We did discuss that at 70yrs old maybe this vet was suffering from some sort of dementia, but hey he said, Retire. I hope this person gets all that they deserve!

| ![]() It is sad to say that many pet owners are just clueless and it looks like this vet made sure the ones that are clueless just stayed that way. I'm glad this particular case got so much media attention or this "very popular" vet could have gotten away with his dirty deeds and continued to mistreat pets. It is not unusual for these agencies to cover up for their own. Let's hope that when the heat is off they don't reinstate him. ![]() |

| ![]() If they worked there for more then a week without reporting it they should be charged also and their names published so even if another Vet hires them someone will out them! |

I just wanted to say I did not mean any blame was on the pet owners. It would be like blaming anyone who is scammed...but..still there were some red flags that bother me ..

| ![]() Evil is evil at any age.... I don't think dementia would cause the evil?

| ![]() I am not defending this man at all but you would be surprised what dementia can cause. I cared for my Dad with this disease, he was one of the most modest people who ever lived. When we were young we wore long flannel gowns to bed and were not allowed out of the bedroom without a robe covering us, when this disease progressed in him if we didn't keep a close eye on him he would go out in the yard nude. He would have days like that and the horrible thing was that on a good day he would remember the events of the bad days at times and be so humiliated. It is such an awful thing to watch. Honestly I think Alzheimers would of been better for him.

Heck we don't even have our pup yet and we are interviewing/researching for Vet and Groomer. Found my old Groomer from 20 years ago by accident, she was great and will probably go back to the Vet we had 20 years ago for Angel my Yorkie then. The Vets on the other side of Tucson, but worth it he was great and according to people still is tops. | |

| ![]() Like I said I am not defending this vet at all. Do not know if he actually even has dementia and as far as his staff there is no excuse that someone did not step up earlier and stop these poor animals from being abused. What happened there is right out of a horror movie. I feel so sorry for these poor pets. I do not have a lot of sympathy for their humans because if the place is like the report says I would never of taken my babies there.
