Sarahbear, I am not sure how much he weighs yet. I opted to wait for his shots til he was 8 weeks old. We go Saturday. He is growing and playing but I wasn't prepared for how small he would be!

Thanks ladies. She sticks her tongue out when she's relaxed or when she's playing. She'll pounce on her pink elephant with her little tongue all stuck out. It's the cutest thing. She's only barked once when playing and I think even she was surprised by the sound. She looked all around like "who was that barking".

It takes getting used to for sure. I'm used to being light on my feet with having three shih tzu and each of them being around 2-3 lbs when they were first brought home. Shih Tzu grow differently than Yorkies, I'm noticing, a Yorkie at 2 lbs when you first bring them home may gain some between then and when they're full grown but a Shih Tzu grows much more dramatically. I had two 7 lbs Tzus and one 10 pounder. I was told by the lady I bought Darla from that she shouldn't get bigger than 4-5 lbs since her dad is 3 lbs and her mom is 5 lbs. It was more of an after thought. I didn't even ask how big she'd get because honestly that was irrelevant. I just wanted a Yorkie regardless of the size as an adult. I usually use the size of their paws as a rough idea of how big a dog will get. Darla's paws are much smaller than any of shih tzu were. I think she's gonna be small.

If you go to Puppia's website it's wholesale only so you have to get the harnesses from a third party. I went on Amazon and got Darla's they have tons of styles to choose from. I recommend going with the sellers who are prime members. They have boy and girl ones. Here's a link. ![]() Amazon.com: Puppia extra small harness

I'm looking for a harness that is very light weight. Any suggestions? Nothing around the throat. Have a little girl who weighs 4 lbs. This has been probably around awhile, but I would like some recent comments. Thanks

| Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | ChattiesMom (a YT member) makes silk harnesses that are very lightweight. Also, our member Maximo carries the Buddy Belt, which many of us have and love -- it's made of quality leather w/ wonderful hardware. They're more expensive, but will last forever and ever.
