Little Biewer Yorkies
 

I bought a pup from Terry at littlebieweryorkies dot com in December. She seemed very dedicated and it was a good experience.

Today her web site is down, all her Youtube video's are gone and her phone isn't in service.

I hope she's OK. Anybody know for sure what's up? Thanks!

Firstly, welcome to Yorkietalk!

Website, phone and youtube down? The website redirected to a domain provider site so maybe it is a case of her not paying whatever the price is to keep her domain? Or it expired? Idk if that can happen or not, just a guess. Maybe the website is just down for maintenance or moving to a new server? Looks like her youtube videos are still there though, just from a quick google search. Idk how to explain the phone number. Kinda strange.

I would keep trying...it is a good idea to keep in contact with your breeder for your pup's entire lifetime, if possible. Can you email her? I'd start there and let her know her site is down.

I sent her an Email and it was returned as permanently undeliverable. It's an AOL email address that used to work fine not tied to her domain so it should still work unless she closed it on purpose.

I also just heard from a friend that a few weeks ago Terry was selling her main stud "Pretty Baby". Maybe she decided to shut down for some reason.

I saw an old post on this site from a member who's no longer here that they knew her personally. Just wondering if anybody else knows her? Just a bit worried about her.

It sounds a little fishy. Reputable breeders always like to keep in contact with the people who buy there pups.

I'd say all forms of communication being cut off like that is most likely her doing. You have to have passwords for accounts like those to shut them down, passwords most likely, that only she knows.

Our businesses domain page payment was due this week and a pain in the butt to muddle through old passwords and pay...hope it is something simple like that. How old is your pup?

I agree, from what I've read about her she sounds like bad news.

Hi.....my name is Sandy and i am new to this forum and new to being a Biewer Yorkie owner.
i purchased a pup, born Feb. 11th, 2014, from Terry.....she was so kind and attentive through the process.....never once did i feel she was hood-winkin' me about the pup!
she sent many pictures and updates on my girl....we even face timed while she was with her mommy, brothers and sisters!
we talked on the phone, exchanged emails, and she was always upfront and caring.
i went to her home, which was lovely, and picked up lil' tinkerbelle on April 12th, 2014....She was very sweet, kind and professional during our transaction.....<i even met her mom>.....i saw nothing that gave me any indication that there was a problem.
terry sent several text checking on us the following week.....THEN, around Easter i tried to send an email that was returned....called, phone disconnected....went to website, gone.....NOW i am scared.
lil tinkerbelle is doing great, and we have our first vet appointment <second round of shots> this coming Weds.....i am nervous now, darn it all.....she eats, sleeps, plays, potties all fine...so, no indication of her having any problems....i too am worried about Terry and what happened....i had a gift made for her to say Thank you, i will be going to her home to drop it off....maybe, just maybe she will answer the door and my questions....if not, i still hope she is ok....Sandy.[

Hi, About the Biewer Terrier: AKC has recently accepted the Biewer Terrier into the Foundation Stock Service of the AKC. Wonderful news!!!! Few steps away from full accredidation (hopefully!!)

HOWEVER, anyone looking for a pure bred Biewer Terrier must check the bonafides of the breeder. Please ensure that your pup has been MARS DNA tested so that you know you have a purebred Biewer & not some kind of mix.

Today the website is back! Terry has a different email address on the website so I plan to write to her and see what happened but it looks like she's OK at least.

I am in FL and was looking at littlebiewers in Orlando as a prospect. Her website is shut down. There are a few websites that are shut down in the last few weeks, Maybe someone is shutting down these websites. I am looking for a female pup to purchase preferably in FL where I can go and visit the home and see the pups in person before I get involved sending money etc. It's getting scary to buy pups online now because you don't know who to trust.. I purchased my biewer six yrs ago online and he was the pup I ordered and he was shipped from OH. I want another pup, female this time replace one I lost three years ago. If anyone can recommend a good breeder please contact me. Thanks-

well, all that worryin' for nuttin'......her website is back up and running and all looks good!...WHEW!!...that goes to show what happens when we jump to conclusions....i was so upset that something had gone terribly wrong...she is fine, my tinkerbelle is fine.....and i am fine.
i will go deliver her gift, as planned and give her a BiG hug!!

hold on!...hold on!....i am not trying to get in the middle of anything...i was scared when i read all this stuff on here....and i could not get in touch with her....now that her site is back up and i have a way to communicate with her, i will......
i have written to the person who posted that several years ago....8/1/12......i would just like the facts.

Why not stick around? This is a good site with lots of great people.

If you are interested in a Biewer, also look at the Biewer Breed Club of America (BBCA).

She is not a reputable breeder, she breeds for "tiny" and for bucu dollars. The comments on the other thread by CONCRETEGURL are to be taken seriously, she is very knowledgeable and experienced.


This breeder is a POS BYB...her website purposely leaves out valuable information.


OP Did you get a health guarantee? If so post it here and I will be glad to tell you why its meaningless....

I get everybody's upset with this breeder. However, the OP & another commenter already have pups from this person. It may be best if everyone tries to help these members with their puppy issues instead of making them feel badly & not want to return here should other issues arise.

Just a thought...

If they need help I would hope they would ask. But there are other people who read these threads and if they google the breeder this thread will come up and show them it's not a good breeder.

b. I want to reinforce the message with the op
c. I want the millions of other readers that come to YT to get the message, and I won't miss an opportunity to pass it along...if they don't return, which I'm sure they will should they ever google an issue, I hope they certainly contact their vets.

Additionally I don't see they have issues, yet....

By the way....Hi!!! Welcome to YT! Many of us, myself included have been in your shoes and NOT purchased from the best breeders, I'm sure your pup is wonderful and I really hope you have nothing but good luck!
