| Too heavy? This is Bella after grooming. The vet said she needs to lose some weight. She weighs 8lbs. Also, does anyone know why I can only upload 1 picture to my posts?

| I don't think she's heavy at all, she's adorable. How old is she? My vet told me that the "rib test" is a good way to determine for yourself if your baby is overweight or not. If you can't feel her ribs she might be overweight.. but she looks perfect to me, though.

| I think Bella is adorable too. Love her little outfit. My little girl seems to be inching towards being an 8 pounder! She's only 10 months and seems to be moving on up on the scales. She's presently around 6 PDS. Can't feel ribs just a real sponge bobette! Loves to eat we monitor her meals at all times. Getting ready for spaying soon. Just have had one issue after another in our home lately. Anyway she's a healthy happy happy girl.So we will watch her closely we might even get to join the TEAPOT club. Most defenently the TOM GIRL club. Loveml sooo much .Oh I wonder if there's an alpha club she's that too. Lol

| She's a cutie! You can't see anything from that pic, her side is covered lol. So I don't know how people can say she's fine. Do you have any side shots, or aerial shots from above? Bath time is best because the hair is wetted down, you can really see their frame!

| I keep Jackson lean, but he's a very active boy. I also keep his hair short so it's easier to tell. He's 17lbs. He loses a bit of his muscle mass in the winter, we've been lazy this year, but once swimming starts up again, he usually gets them back.

| She looks plump to me. You should feel a single layer of fat over the ribs, if there's more than that, she needs to be cut back on food/treats.

| My vet told me they should have an hour glass shape, Jacksons Arial shot is perfect, that's what your pup's body should look like. Your pic your pup has a lot of hair and looks "plump".

| I like dogs to be just slightly on the lean side but my Tibbe loves his kibble and he's not lean at all right now so we're lightening up on his meal and treat portions. He weighed in a 6.3 lbs. his last vet visit and that's about a pound too heavy to me, though the vet hasn't mentioned he's overweight. His treats are just softened, chilled kibble but he loves them like candy!!! Or loves the idea of them. He's always working to get treats for things he does right! Bella looks like she could maybe be a bit too heavy for her weight-bearing joints in such a little dog. How tall is she at the withers? How long is she from the base of the neck to the base of the tail? Bella sure is a cute little girl, Kathy.

| She looks furrier than Jax lol, she doesn't look obese or anything but personally if she were my dog, I'd want her to lose a bit.

| Aw, your dog looks pretty. I'm sure she can lose those vanity pounds easily. My dog is a little overweight too. Both of our dogs will be getting into shape. My dog started his diet yesterday. I'm so glad that he has not notice (smaller portion of food). |

| Bella is a food thief, she feels the need to taste her sisters' food. She has 3 sisters.
