I still think it's more likely that she's a teenager, given her screen name, writing style, things she's said, and the bit with her parents. |
Sounds like she could have a bad cold or pneumonia... she may have a fever (hot feet and ears)... she may just need some antibiotics... |

Just wondering if possibly she is pregnant. |

The white gums is very serious!!! She needs blood work done now!!!!!!!!! Go!!!!!!!! |
Please convince your parents to take her to the vet asap! |
isn't pale gums generally dehydration? or did I make that up? if your parents won't take her to the vet. I would keep giving her honey every couple of hours while shes not eating, keep trying to get her to eat something, chicken breast and rice would be good, and I would give her water with a dropper weather she wants it or not. I stick the syringe behind Yuri's fangs and drip a little at a time when he has to take liquid medicine should work with water too. actually if she seemed to like the honey you could try mixing the water and honey, and seeing if shell drink it that way. |

I'm just wondering this morning if your parents decided a vet visit was needed. I should have added yesterday that regardless of heat, the white gums are ALWAYS a sign that a vet visit is in order. Just be aware that if she's in heat do not let her out of your sit for one second......at the vet, in the yard, no dog parks or visits with unaltered males. Please update us on how she's doing today :) |
The brutal truth is, if you do NOT get to a vet with this pup, she is going to die. If your parents can not look at this pup and see how desperately ill she is, then there is absolutyely no capability for them to save this pup! In order for a pup to get medical attention, an owner or caregiver at the very least, has to be able to see when the pup needs a vet or is dying. I am sooo sorry for this unfortunate little soul. How old are you??? Call a cab and get to the vet! Call the breeder you got the pup from and tell them what is going on....I would move heaven and hell before I would let one of my babies die..... |
Oh my god, this is an awful situation! |
She hasn't been back online since 2:21pm yesterday. I hope she was able to get her to a vet and let us know how she is doing. |
Just wrote miss webkins to see how her baby is doing. I have a little girl who was born in 2001- not looking so little these days I must say. I'm thinking webkins is probably in school today and will not be able to update us until later. I hope that she is able to compile the information that she has learned here about warning signs for her dogs health and safety and present it to her parents who I hope will follow through and take this dogs health needs seriously. I have some concerns about that seeing as how the little lass is not spayed already (could be some great reason behind that I am not aware of but...) I also really hope that she will be able to feel comfortable coming back and asking questions that will support her and her little girl and receive good information from this great community. I do realize that no chat board or advice is a reasonable or acceptable substitute for veterinary care also. I hope that through good communication and support we can create an environment that will be able to provide good input and a pool of knowledge an resources to direct our friends throughout the many ages and stages of life that they are experiencing wether that direction be spay/neuter services available through animal health organizations like the humane society, advice on toenail clipping or being able to refer to different yorkie rescue groups if another member of yt needs those services. I am grateful to be a part of such a lovely community and aspire myself to remember where my strengths are, what I can and cannot change, how my words can build up or break down, support or discourage and to remember what my own goals are in sharing my life and time with the yt community (so excited about the upcoming ge!!) I hope this sweet little pup is doing well because it is my love of Yorkshire terriers first and foremost that brings me here and I pray that the knowledge provided by the above thoughtful members can be conveyed by webkins in a way that inspires the legal responsible caregivers if this yorkie to provide her with the healthcare she needs. :daisy: |
1 Attachment(s) We took her to the vet and they did some blood work and test and finally gave her some antibiotics to help her she has gotten a little bit fuller and has started to drink water again :) |
