| Seresto...anybody use it?? I just took Molly to the vet last week and got the Seresto collar for her. She seems to be scratching at her neck a lot more than she should. I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience with these collars? I'm not sure if it's something in the collar or the collar itself. We've never had a collar on Molly. When we walk her or take her out anywhere we always use a harness. She's not use to having something around her neck so I'm hoping it's just that she's not use to it. Any input? |

| Is it a flea collar? If so, I would take it off!

| Not a fan of flea and tick collars especially on small dogs even the new ones that are supposed to be safe.

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | I am not a fan of flea and tick collars. It tends to just have the medication near the neck. And not to the rest of the body. Also I would be worried about them chewing it. I would check her neck and see if she is having a reaction. She might be or just hating a collar on if she is not used to it. Also she can be bothered by the medication

| Can you imagine if you put that toxic collar around your or a childs neck? You would be breathing toxic fumes 24/7. And I was told in grooming school the only way a flea collar works is if the flea trips over it and breaks its neck. Use diatomacious earth on your baby, non-toxic and works great.

| even though my vet recommended using a flea collar on my girls, I won't do it (she had said to put it on when going outside, then take it off when coming in.....which seems like it defeats the purpose based on the manufacturers directions). My girls play and bite each other and would therefore mouth the collars not to mention I have kids and I don't want them touching that stuff. We are using Revolution but for the summer are adding Parastar plus to it in order to fight the massive amounts of ticks we have right now |

| I also use Revolution, but it doesnt protect against deer ticks. My Vet suggested using the Seresto collar in tandem with Revolution. She claims it is very safe to use. I ordered one, but it always makes me uncomfortable when putting something on a 3.4lb yorkie that is also suitable for dogs 18 lbs and under. |
