| ![]() The one in the sweater is my new adopted lil city boy. He just picked up a scent of??? Saw his first squirrel through my window feeding at my bird feeder, so for now it's "I gotta get that squirrel" I just cannot wait for the weather to get warmer and his hunting instinct kicks in (in my album). The baby looking at me, is my sweet Matese past this past oct. she was the mighty hunter, one time she caught a big frog (No poisonous grogs in Pa. I checked that out after Mauigirl) and brought it in the house and put it in her bed, scarred the living daylights outta me. I can't wait to see what Cody's favorite critter will be. Thanks for the complement he's my lil Diva boy lol

| ![]() Before we moved to town Laddy's favorite sport when outside was finding mice. I would literally get sick when he would catch one and drop it at my feet but he would be so dang proud of himself. Thankfully here we haven't had an issue but to my dismay my DH found a mole trail in the yard so I am sure that will probably be Laddy's next mission.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 2 of my 3 are bunny hunters so I can relate. Let's just say don't come into our yard and expect to make it out alive without being really fast! :roll eyes: You need to find the entry way into your home and seal it up properly because having that many rodents is a health hazard!

| ![]() Of course most terriers were bred for hunting and killing rodents but it is really unhealthy to have the vermin in your home. Your dog could kill a dozen a day and not make a dent in the rodent population. Your best bet is to find where they are entering into the building. Usually the basement or foundation of a building are the places that rodents get in. If you can plug up the holes in those areas you will have your problem licked. You can also try plugging up any holes along pipes under your sinks and other plumbing with steel wool. The mice and rats can't chew through that. Those creatures will take up residence in your walls and attic and any crawl spaces if you don't find their entrances and block them. They are destructive so good luck in your war! |

| ![]() My Sakura is a mouser! She has helped me catch and release two mice at the shop where I work. I soon found how they where getting in and sealed the hole. No mice seen or heard so far! Out of the 4 dogs at the shop, she is is the only one who hunts the mice. My boss loves her. She stills looks and sniffs all over the shop just in case every morning when we get to work. But her need to hunt is a new thing. As a puppy I had pet rats and she had no interest in them. Now she wants to get at the hedgehog and bearded dragon I have now. My little man Axel is just starting to get the hunting thing from her but he isn't as obsessed about it as her. And the dragon scares him. ![]() |

| ![]() Once lil Axel gets the scent of a rodent, (mouse, mole, squirrel, etc.) he will be hunting. Right now he is imitating his sister.

| ![]() I'm sure he will! Before I got the mice out of the shop he was right his sister sniffing. But for now he is still more interested in playing with the big dogs there. I just hope he doesn't become obsessed with like Sakura has. |
