what food do you feed? I was wondering, what food do you all feed your yorkies? I was thinking about feeding Paformatrin Ultra Grain Free Small Bites (all life stages) here is the link with more info on it: http://us.petvalu.com/dog/food/produ...ormatrin-ultra and here is a link to the dog food advisor, it got 5 out of 5 stars: http://www.dogfoodadvisor.com/dog-fo...ra-grain-free/ It is sold at a petstore called Pet Valu which is one of my FAVORITE pet stores. They only sell healthy dog foods and treats and they do not sell any animals. What are your thoughts on this food? Is it a good choice? |
I haven't heard of that one. We use Wellness small breed (turkey). My girls seem to do well on it |
Wellness CORE small breed is my second choice but I really like the ingredients and everything of the Paformatrin Ultra... |
Joel eats Blue Buffalo Freedom. The Paformatrin looks really good from the dog food advisor site. I love that site and trust anything on there lol:p |
I am not a fan of the Dog Food Advisor. He is a human dentist. I prefer listening to vets and vet nutritionists. Informative site: PetDiets - VNC putting your pet's health first .. for more than 20 yrs! |

I have not heard of this brand before. We use Fromm chicken a la veg. |

Right now we feed a mix of Fromm's kibble (grain-free, rotating flavors) and Orijen Freeze dried. I actually like Dog Food Advisor; I know that he is a dentist but at least he has some type of medical education and provides guidance on dog brands. The type of food also depends on what your dog tolerates. Milana used to have GI issues and occasional diarrhea - she has less events now with freeze dried raw food :) |
I feed Royal Canin at the recommendation of my breeder. She knows WAY more about yorkies than I do, so I trust her advice and experience. |

ah come on guys, now I really gotta think :p |
We rotate and blend often to keep lilah interested in her food- no abrupt shifts and her digestion is fine but pretty consistent mixing. She is kind of a skinny Minnie and I need to keep her interested. Right now she is really enjoying solid gold small breed bites- bison an salmon I believe? And I am a fan of first mate dog food, I really like the ingredients and the concepts of the company, we do their gf chicken and blueberries and the ocean fish but have not tried the lamb yet. We also do natural balance duck and potato, I would like to try their sweet potato and fish- I like their kibble size and lilah seems to like their food but ok not super excited they sold their company to del monte. Zignature lamb was also one we really enjoyed- especially their petite kibble, smaller bag sizes and legume based carbohydrate, gonna have to order that one again. We tried honest kitchen and lilah wouldn't eat it. Wellness did not go over big at our house either, lilah was Also not interested in raw feeding. We do various canned foods as well including natural balance first mate and pure vita. |
just curious, where can you buy fromm and about how much does the small bag weigh and how many pounds is it? |
