| Has anyone used a pet psychic?? I was at Pet Supplies Plus and ran across an ad for a pet psychic on their bulletin board for my area. I am not sure how much stock I put into it...but Prince has been lifting his leg in my house, if given the chance. I've had him tested, so I am assuming it's behavioral. I'd happily pay a pet psychic if she could get him to stop!! Wondering if anyone has used one and had any luck?? |

| Someone did... do a search to see if the thread comes up... I left a reply for you here: (copy and pasted it here for you) Quote: Originally Posted by theporkieyorkie http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/ima...s/viewpost.gif I feel your frustration. My 10 year old has completely regressed with potty training. He's basically in a belly band 24/7 right now. He goes out pretty much every 1/2 hour to hour during the day and at least 2-3 times at night so I never get a good nights sleep and he still manages to pee in the house if his diaper is off for any amount of time. I've had him tested as well and nothing came up. Here is how bad it's getting for me....I was at pet supplies plus today and found an ad on for a pet psychic. I am thinking of giving her a call and I am not even really a firm believer in all of that kind of stuff...but at this point, I am willing to take any help I can get!! LOL!! My carpet cleaner and washing machine is working overtime and I am sick of cleaning up pee. We will be starting potty training 101 this spring. In my case, I feel like a lot of the regression came when my other dog started using potty pads indoors. When it gets warm enough, I want to do away with the potty pads and they will be going outside. In my case, I am in it for the long haul with my pup...till death do us part. I will keep a diaper on him if I have to and keep cleaning up pee but I really hope I can find a way to get him mostly potty trained. ... end of quote Assuming this is your first dog and you added a second (forgive my failing memory)... I would suggest giving him more attention. He may be marking because he feels left out... so to compensate he's leaving his mark all over to remind the newcomer that it's his house and don't forget it! Make him feel very special to you. Or more special... Extra lap time, first in, first out the door, first fed. etc.

| I used a psychic for my birds. It was over the phone for 15 mins. She told me things that there was no way she could have known. I was calling about my cockatoo but she zeroed in on my amazons which I did not mention that I had. She said I had two and one had more yellow on it!s head than the other. That was true - one was a yellow nape and the other was a double yellow head. She told me that the yellow nape picked on the double yellow head and my cockatoo found it very funny. This was true. She didn't ask me questions, just talked and I took notes. I think you should go for it. Maybe the psychic can help.

| Yes...in this ladies ad, she claimed she could connect with pets that have passed away as well as pets still here on earth. I am not sure what she charges as I've been mulling it around. When I call her, I will post the price. I can also ask her if she's available for phone calls and if I see her, I'll let you know how it goes. I've seen some of the pet psychics on TV and they seem to have some good insight on why the pets are acting out. |

| So, this weekend there was a walk to fund raise money for the local animal shelter in our area. There was also other activites like dock diving, agility and a coursing track...all just for fun. The boys and I didn't do the walk, but we did go there to donate and to show our support and to shop around. One of the other activities they had was a pet psychic. They were offering 15 minute readings for $15.00 so you know I had to try it out because I've been wanting to do it. The lady used Tarot cards and we did Prince's reading. As many of you know, I've had problems with him peeing in the house. That is all I mentioned to her and she confirmed all of my suspicions and more. She said that he felt like he wasn't getting enough attention and that negative attention was better than no attention. He also does not like sharing me. She also said that he felt like I was pulling away from him and not giving him as much attention as I used to and he was afraid of me abandoning him. All of this made sense to me. I did get Ricky a year ago and I have been paying more attention to him and less to Prince. I try to divide my attention evenly...but with Prince being so obnoxious and bad all of the time, it's easy to baby Ricky more. The pet psychic suggested that I socialize Prince more with other dogs so he feels less territorial with me. She also said he will improve....so I guess there is hope yet!! I was hoping the psychic could communicate with Prince and tell him to pee outside. I've seen Psychics communicate directly with animals instead of through Tarot cards....but for $15, it was worth a try. |

| I'm glad the psychic gave you some good things to try. I took Lola to one, it was free at a pet store and I wasn't impressed. The correct things she said could have easily been guessed (ex. she loves people and shopping) and the rest was wrong. The wrong things were: There's a man she really loves- she's rarely around men She only likes meat- she begs for veggies She doesn't like strong smelling food- she gives me issues with weruva too and that just smells like chicken |

| I had a friend who communicated with animals. She did amazing things. One time in particular she just had come in and Chibi ran up to her, she said he was excited about something we did with red flowers. The night before I took his picture with red hibiscus, I had the picture in my bag to show everyone, there was no way she could have known that. I believe but I also think their are scammers out there so just trust your gut. I'd say try it, can't wait to hear how it goes!
