| I was at Petco one day when I observed a groomer manhandling a little yorkie boy. He was not taking to the clipping. She jerked him around and pulled him down as he did not want to have his feet clipped. I watched for awhile and thought about staying and talking with the owner but I had no idea what time they would arrive. The groomer did all this yanking and pulling in front of the windows where anyone could see what was going on. Terrible. I have never forgotten this and it has been years and years since this happened.

| I have been home grooming for the last few years. I am not good at it but I feel my babies are safer. For many years I took my guys to a local groomer that I really trusted but she retired and I am not about to trust anyone else.

| I use a mobile groomer, and really love her. I will never again drop him off somewhere that is not in my driveway. He's a nervous dog as it is, and doesn't like going to the mobile either, but at least I can peek in on him while he's being groomed. And I know he's being treated well because once he's done, he will accept the treats from her (he doesn't take food from just *anyone*). I used to drop him off when he was younger at a place where he would stay for 4-5 hours and I hated doing it. Never again. He would be more at risk of me grooming, LOL. I'm horrible. Tried in the past, he looked awful. I'll leave it to the professionals. I have a particular look I like on my boy, that only this groomer can do.
