| what age to tape yorkies ears Hi my yorkie just had her first liter 2 weeks ago and was wondering when is a good time to start helping them with getting their ears up. The fathers ears are up but the moms is not. When I bought my female the same thing was with her parents dads was up moms wasn't I was hoping hers would go up and I tried shaving them taping with no success her ears are just to big.So I was wondering how I can start the process I don't want to do it to early or to late thank you |

| I would let them come up on their own. My Jewels ears werent up at 8 weeks when i got her but they were up by 12 weeks same with my chachi

| I'm trying to find research articles about whether ear taping even works, and haven't found any so far. However, here is an article from PetMD that discourages doing any non-therapeutic (cosmetic) ear procedures on dogs, including taping: Nip, Snip, Clip, Crop, Slice, Tack, Glue, Tape, or Tuck? ... | Taping ears is completely harmless and does not hurt the puppy....and it does work unless there is a problem with the ear leather being too thick and heavy to allow the ear to remain erect. |
