| Is this normal to have white on her face?? Hi.. I'm looking at buying this purebred yorkie puppy and she sent me pictures today. They just opened their eyes so they are around 3-4 weeks old. This puppy has white around her nose?? Has anyone ever seen that before??? I attached pictures! |

| I would venture to guess that this baby's daddy or momma is a "traditional" yorkie and the other is either a parti yorkie or a Biewer yorkie. This baby has white on upper and lower chin, back toes and probably across chest. As baby gets older, some of the white will disappear....cant say how much will.....that is my guess. As far as purebred, yes, he is purebred yorkie but if one of the parents was a Biewer, I am not sure about AKC registration, as AKC will not register Biewers.....parti yorkies can be registered wih AKC, so there wont be a problem there.... |

| Thank you for the reply! As far as I know both of her parents are traditional yorkies black and tan with no white. I was just looking for the traditional looking yorkie as that is what my last one was. If the white will go away that is fine but I don't really like the look of white around her nose.?? I just don't know what to do... |

| Have you seen photos of her littermates? Maybe she has a sister or brother with the coloring you'd prefer.

| Buster had a white shock of hair on the top of his head which became golden as he aged. I loved his white hair. I believe it will grow out blonde as Buster's did. If you look at my avatar you can see the changes. He was a puppy in his vampire, friend, and playboy pictures and you can see how white it is and how golden it is in the Buster has only one flaw picture.

| Thanks everyone!! She only has 1 littermate and it's a male and we were looking at the female. If the white spot will go away or turn tan I'm totally fine with that! Just wish I knew for sure!!! |

| It could be the parents are traditional and there was a parti color down the generation. You could always examine the pedigree. If the breeder did there homework they should be able to answer the question of parti grandparents or great grandparents down the line. They are cute tho

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Some people would pay a small fortune (or, a large one) to have some white color (parti color) in their yorkie . I can understand how it may bother some people though. It may grow out, it may not. Have you asked your breeder if her past pups have had white and if yes, what happened with that white? That would be the best route to approach it.

| Joel had white on his chest and back foot. The white on his foot is gone and his chest still has white and he's 2. |

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | Most of the time if it is very little white it will disappear. But nothing is guaranteed. If you want to make sure then go to a different breeder. Me I love the white. . . . But then I got myself a Biewer ! lol

| Gizmo had a bit of white on all the tips of his paws and a spot right on his chin, plus the diamond on his chest. All of the white has turned to gold except the diamond on his chest. He had a parti gene in his bloodline when I had the DNA test done, so it's probably what caused it, but now he has all regular yorkie markings now. Te only thing I've noticed is that the silver blue is very slow to start at 9 months his body is still black :-) its lighter, but still black. |

| Thank you all so much for taking time to post a comment! We go and meet her next week sometime so I will decide once I see her in person. I'm sure we will fall in love and the white won't matter at all! Thanks again!! |

| Barney has some parti in him (probably not correct way to phrase it). He had a splotch of white on his chest and the top of his head when we got him at 11 weeks. When he changed color at around 6 months, he was nearly completely white. He is now 15 months old. His back is dark gray and his face is turning tan. The first pic is Barney at 12 weeks, then 10 months, and now 15 months.

| No doubt you'll fall in love Honestly though, they all change color so dramatically through the years...it's such a fun part of watching them grow up. Good luck with the meeting. I hope it all works out!!
