| 2nd heat since January I'm concerned that my 11 months old Yorkie is in heat for the 2nd time since January. I think it started on Thursday and when I noticed light spotting I took her to the Vet. He said it wasn't unusual for this to happen. Is he correct or should I get another opinion? The spotting still appears to be minimal. I have her in Fancy Pants but no pad is needed. I also have a neutered male Yorkie, her dad, who is trying to mount her. I'm keeping close watch over them but since he has mated once before, he knows what's under her Fancy Pants and he's trying to get to it! My plan is to mate her once when she's older so I'm keeping her intact. If this reoccurance of her heat turns out to be a medical condition then I will immediately spay her. |

| I just read an article that states that my dog's condition is called "split heat" which occurs 2-6 weeks after the initial heat but is somehow related to the original heat... Is this possible? |
