| What's the best Vitamin Supplement? Hi, My Yorkie is eating but not much. The dry dog food says feed about 1/4 to 1/3 of a cup per day and my dog does not eat near that much. She is eating a few teaspoons a day! I have tried mixing in wet with dry but she does not eat that much and I do try feeding her twice a day. She also won't eat unless I am around. CAN ANYONE ADVISE WHAT VITAMIN SUPPLEMENT I CAN GIVE HER? SOMETHING THAT IS SAFE FOR YORKIES? She keeps licking her paws as well. She is not sick... just hard to get her to eat. She weighs only 4 1/2 lbs. Thanks so much!! |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I like the supplements from Nature's Farmacy: naturesfarmacy.com As far as licking the paws, that's a cardinal sign of allergies - usually environmental like dust, pollens, etc. How old is she? Is she itching too?

YT 1000 Club Member | You might try leaving it out for her all the time. My (4) guys don't eat all that much at one visit, but, get around to consuming a reasonable amount in several trips. They nibble and come back later for more. Also, it's possible another "flavor" might be more attractive to her. I have three kinds (Beef/Sea/Foul) out for mine 24/7, and they change back and forth as they want. Exercising may help too. A trip around the block a couple times a day can get her systems working better.

| I give my boys pet tabs. Prince came to me on them. The vet I used to work for had them and the breeder I used to work for fed them as part of her daily diet. |

| Could the licking of the paws be an indication that she's allergic to the food?
