				   | Blood work is optional for dogs under 2 at our vet, and is $85 additional. Puff was spayed at 8 months and had anal glands removed at 13 months, and we had blood work done before both. I really think it should be mandatory for all.

				   | I had to request it at my vet. Knowing yorkies are prone to liver problems, and how the liver filters everything, the pre-op blood work is a must for me just to let me know that Kaji is healthy enough to withstand the stress of surgery.

				   | My vet always does it, and I'm happy to pay for that peace of mind. Megan, my old girl, had PDA, or blue baby syndrome, and my vet did blood work for teeth cleanings, or any other procedure that used twilight sedation, to full anesthesia. Good luck with your search. Cheers Quad & Gina
