I stay away from anything with velcro because of the long hair. I have had real problems with Bailee's hair sticking to the velcro. Therefore, the Buddy Belt is our choice.

Bubba is 9 and Sissy is 8. We have been threw many types of harnesses and all in all I have found BB to be tops. First we tried the vest like one with the hook and Velcro but they began to gain weight (they are both big, 11lbs, just big not fat) and I worried about the safety and the neck came up too high.

Then we went to a more secure Puppia and Sissy (Houdini) could get out of it. I would secure her into the dog seat in the back of the car and next thing i knew she would come up between the seats without her harness. So, I tried the BB and because it's leather it doesn't stretch as much and Sissy can't get out of it.

The first one I got was a black leather for Bubba. Since then I have gotten a collar to match and just recently ordered a Venom BB and collar for Sissy. These I ordered from Kristin. She is great to work with (since it took me forever to make up my mind as to color because there are so many great colors) and keeps you advised as to shipping with a tracking#

I've used so many different kinds of harnesses. My boy is an escape artist and the Buddy Belt is fabulous for him. My girl does not leave my side and I could probably walk her with a wet spaghetti noodle around her and she wouldn't break free. However, like some of the others I love the way the BB's fit and look. I just add flowers and bows to hers to make them a bit more girlie.
