| Help with Breeders Hi ,I owned a yorkie in the past & she was the sweetest dog I had ever had. I am currently looking for another. I want to make sure to get one from a good breeder. The previous breeder I had gotten my yorkie from did not let them go until 12 weeks old. Which was fine with me as I wanted to make sure she was as healthy as possible. she also gave a 1 year health guarantee. I would love to go to her again but she is far from where I now live. I have been talking to a few breeders in CT (where I live) & one has an available yorkie but will let them go at 8 weeks. I was wondering what is normal for breeders & what I should be looking for? Also, if anyone knows any reputable breeders in CT, MA, or near there. Thank you for your help in advance! |

| A reputable breeder does not let the pup go before 12 weeks they also do health and genetic testing, don't breed females under 5 pounds, have spay and neuter contracts, are AKC registered and you should be able to see where the pups are living. You can check out breeders on ytca.org.
