Oh dear, I was so upset I forget to tell you I'm praying for you and Mila and I really hope she will be better. Thanks for taking the time to warn others. |
Everyone should CAREFULLY read her "health guarantee" as listed in #2 on her website. (italics and highlight my own) Seller warrants the puppy for a congenital life-threatening, non-treatable condition only, for one year from date of purchase. And there my friends is an example of one which pretty covers nothing. There are many life threatening conditions which CAN be treated. For instance liver shunt can be "treated". |

24K gold, that has a guarantee like this behind it....this absolutely guarantees you are going to have health problems with this puppy, and you are on your own with it! She is not taking responsibility for ANYTHING with regards to what she is reproducing and throwing out to the buying public. This is so outrageous, it is unbelieveable.....how in the world can anyone make such ludicrous statements, collect that amount of money for it, then cut bait and run???????? I could care less what she gets for her puppies....prices are set by the public....what people are willing to pay for something, is exactly what it is "worth". I have a problem with the irresponsible, unethical, unaccountability and gross neglegence and disrespect this contract has for not only her puppies, but for her new owners. Dont let someone beat you up, insult your intelligence, sell you a sick, ill bred puppy for ANY price, and then watch you gleefully buy it, while they run to the bank with your money! I am so so so very sorry for your puppy....my heart breaks for this innocent little soul that is a result of genetic issues.....BUY YOU BREEDER FIRST!! Establish a relationship with your breeder....you should be able, at the very least, be able to TRUST your breeder.....you should EXPECT to have an on going relationship with this person for the life of the puppy....and when you read, first rattle out of the box, a guarantee like what is mentioned above, RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN........... |
What is the birth defect? AAI? I am so sorry your baby is going through this, hope she'll be ok. Perfect example as to why people need to stay away from anyone advertising as 'teacups', putting emphasis on the size & looks...not on health! She has quite a rep here:rolleyes:: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/bre...e-yorkies.html http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/bre...bloodline.html http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gre...yorkies-3.html |
I'm so sorry your little girl is going through such a terrible time. The suffering that so many of the tinies go through for their whole lives is so awful for them and for the people that love them with all their hearts. It's so painful to watch an innocent little creature suffer just due to its tiny size and inherited condition and so often there's nothing you can do but sit up with them, hold them, feed them medication and love and support and keep them safe with the best vet care there is. But in any chronically-ill dog's life, where pain, discomfort and medication are daily themes, there comes a time when a little one shouldn't have to face anymore pain and illness and all too often, that time comes the most and earliest to the very tiny ones. But their breeders don't tell you anything about that on their enticing websites or in their emails or when talking to you about the dog you are considering buying. They don't breed for health or to improve the breed - they breed solely for size and a very short muzzle, big eyes - things more and more people seem to think they want in a toy dog - the look of the eternal puppy. It's infuriating that disreputable breeders keep breeding for smaller and smaller dogs to feed the wants of their customers - mostly women who want something tiny, cuddly and needy, as they are so darn cute. They feed into our protective natures and desire to baby something. They prey on the nature of caring people rather than try to educate them that ultra tiny frequently equates to poor health and easy injury. If only they would be honest with their prospective customers and tell them about the quality of life that ultra-tiny, darling, cute little bundle of fur is likely to have due to the many poor health conditions and injuries they are SO prone to have. I feel terrible for you but mostly hurt for that little baby of yours. Mila is likely struggling to understand why things have been so bad for her most of the time and hate the suffering she lives with but it sounds as if you've gone the last mile you could always to get her good vet care so she's very blessed that way. Not all tinies wind up with such loyal, always-loving owners! I'm hopeful that many people read this thread and take your message to heart that dealing only with highly respected, reputable breeders who obsess about the health and temperament of the dogs they are breeding rather than their profits is far wiser and preferable than buying from any of the many breeders of tinies who are in the business simply to make money fast. |
I'm also very sorry you and your pup are having to go through all of this. This woman should have to go to court and be made to pay up for her actions. She seems to be out for the almighty dollar. Making her pay restitution would probably be the only way to stop her. I pray your little pup will heal and have a half way normal life. Poor darling. God Bless you for hanging in there. |
I knew the name sounded familiar...I remember reading a few of the threads on her. It's a total shame to hear that she's still producing sick puppies and scamming people out of their money. I am guessing she got big bucks for this pup because it was actually going to be tiny...sadly, most likely due to it's health issues. This is a great example of what happens when you seek out the intentionally bred "micro mini's" (if the dog doesn't end up growing to a normal size) There was another thread about a YT'er that had ran into a lady who had bought a micro mini and she was talking about all it's health problems(hypoglycemia, liver shunt etc etc) like it was just a normal thing. |
Hello and Welcome to YT. Sorry you are going through this. I would definitely go to a lawyer. |
It is terrible that you and your little girl are having to suffer through this. Cannot imagine what this poor pup has had to suffer in such a short lifespan. I thank you for posting this very sad story on YT because there are many people out there that do not understand the dangers of bad breeding. For people who think you want a tiny dog: 1.Yorkies, when purchased from a reputable breeder, are already small dogs. The breed standard says they should be no larger than 7lbs. No special breeding is necessary in order to get a small Yorkie, just the right breeder. 2.Internet searches for purebred dogs will always bring up puppy mills and back yard breeders because those breeders deal in large volume sales of dogs. A reputable breeder may have an internet site but it will not come up in a general search. 3.Puppy mill owners are very adept at creating internet sites with pictures of adorable little dogs in lovely surroundings, however, that is not the true story of the conditions those dogs are kept in. 4.AKC registration does not give any sort of guarantee of the health or the quality of your puppy. The registration is only as good as your breeder is honest. 5. The breeding practices of people who try to create these super small dogs are beyond unethical, they are outright cruel. It is horrible what this woman is having to suffer with her puppy. Don't support the breeders that would do this with their breeding stock and to the new owners. |
If I were you, I would report her to the attorney general in your state. I would also contact the ASPCA, humane society, hsus , AKC and turn her in. How soon after buying her did she get sick? There may be lemon laws in your state that would apply. Take action. I am sorry about your dog. |
I am so sorry your little one is ill, you probably thought paying more meant better dog. It just breaks my heart that these breeders can be so unethical and fool the public every day as they do. My first and second dogs were from a pet shop and I was lucky, they both were fine. My third was purchased much later in my life and she was a champion from a well know breeder and I paid less than the pet shop costs. I did get to know her but that doesn't really mean the person is honest. It's a pain that we have to not trust however when one has that sweet little Yorkie face looking at you, it just melts our hearts and these breeders know it only too well.:( Do keep us informed and I'll be praying for her. (((hugs))) to you. Joan |
dog I would definitely take this breeder to court. She needs to be closed down. She is taking people's money and selling sick dogs. Please do what you can to shut her down! My prayers for a quick stop to her disgusting breeding and hurting precious dogs! The hound of heaven will get her I am sure. |
Omg it's Natalie's Wee Yorkies but changed her website name? Has anyone reported her to the irs? I'm sure she's making a pretty penny off these miserable dogs and not reporting her income! |
