| Hi everyone! I'm New to Yorkie Talk!! Hi everyone!! I need some help, I found a food my picky puppy LOVES (finally), the Fresh Pet Select for puppies, but I'm worried about tooth decay being as though it is wet. At first, he would eat Rachael Ray's Nutrish if I put a little honey or cheese on top (he wasn't so happy with his food without a little something). When I mixed his food with the Fresh Pet Select, he devoured everything but the Rachael Ray Nutrish!! I figured he doesn't like it, so I need a dry kibble to balance out the Fresh Pet. Any suggestions?? My baby is 11 wks old & weighs 2 pounds. When I got him at 8 wks he weighed 1.5 pounds so he is gaining weight and I've only had to give him the Nuti-cal 2 or 3 times. Thanks in advance!! Kai (Neiko's mommy) |

| Hi and Welcome to YT! No honey for puppies under 1 yr old... The kibble to keep teeth clean is a myth. Best to start him on a daily dental brushing routine. Nutrition is most important for keeping a puppy or dog healthy, better foods can be found at Petsmart or Petco... IMHO I'd stay away from anything sold in the grocery or Walmart.

| He doesn't need a dry food many dogs eat just wet food. You should always brush teeth no matter what kind of food there eating because it is the only really true way to keep there teeth in good shape.

| I would look into a better food. My recommendation would be to give him kibble with a little bit of wet mixed in. This way he's not on only wet...

| There's a pretty good rating thread on here somewhere... for dog food... Orijin was rated higher than what we currently use, so we're going to try it when this bag is done. |
