| I haven't had a puppy in a long time, but I've had Yorkies for most of my life. I would free feed a puppy. I home cook for my little girl, but I use Fromm and Orijen kibble as a backup food. Both have puppy foods, and the Fromm I use is for all life stages. Many people like Royal Canin Yorkshire Terrier food. They have one for puppies too. I would gradually introduce a new food so that you don't upset Ruby's stomach. Welcome to YT. We are glad to help you with any questions you might have. Here is a link to the library. Donating YT 3000 Club Member | Hello and welcome to YT. "Yorkies For Dummies" is the first one I recommend."Yorkshire Terriers: A Smart Owners Guide" is the second book. These are excellent resource books .Another book "How to Housebreak Your Dog in 7 Days" Is very helpful. They are not as easy to housebreak. Good luck
