| New to the Yorkie world Hello, I just got my first Yorkie a few days ago. A friend of my son's had Georgie and wanted a bigger dog. He's a little over a year old and house broken and very smart. I don't think he really likes his food (Simply Natural) that's what the owner gave me. Can anyone give me some food ideas? Other than the food issue he is great sleeps next to me all night and if he needs to go outside he nudges me or gives a little whimper. Thanks |

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | Hello and Welcome to YT. "Yorkies For Dummies" and"Yorkshire Terriers: A Smart Owners Guide" are excellent resource books . You can go down to the bottom of the page and do a search. There is a number of recommendations for different food. Galen is finicky eater. I was feeding Taste of the Wild. Now I am feeding Fromm Salmon Tunalini. I like the grain free foods. You can also Check out Dog Food Reviews and Ratings | Dog Food Advisor this will help with what is good and bad. Good luck

| Georgie sounds like a lucky find (already housebroken!) We look for grainfree foods with single protein source including probiotics. The Simply Natural uses chicken meal as its protein and has no mention of probiotics altho it is grainfree it uses potato pea and tomato pomace instead. We are using Earthborn Holistics, Coastal Catch - healthy shiny dogs, only drawback is fish breath! |

| Welcome to YT. He could just be off his feed due to the changes in his routine and surroundings. I would give him a little more time and then if you decide to change his food do it gradually.
