| biewer registration I've been looking for biewers and found a cute little 2 year old. Immunizations and health screen check out but they say she's ckc registered. I know that the akc doesn't recognize them so I assumed th ckc doesn't either or am I wrong? |

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | CKC that is Continental Kennel Club is not a recognized club. Back yard breeders, puppy mills use this club. It does not guarantee the pup is not a mix. Look for the BBIR registration for Biewers.

| CKC, ACA, APRI and several others are "registries", that a lot of substandard breeders use, because they know that their animals aren't purebred, or they don't have papers or rights on their AKC dog. (Puppy sold on limited registration through AKC but bred anyway and litter is registered through ACA, CKC, APRI so breeder can say "registered"). Some people purchasing a dog ask "is the puppy registered?" And the breeder says yes. Unless you know to ask the right questions, you won't realize until you leave that the puppy is registered with one of these registries, and not the AKC or the REAL CKC (Canadian kennel club)
