Glad Rasta's safe. Military bases aren't any safer than any other neighbor hood, they are a blending of every element of society. Military wives are not vetted much beyond making sure they don't have any warrants against them, unless they are a foreigner, then they are checked out more stringently. I think we are all a little feisty when it comes to out kids, whether they have 2 or 4 legs. Give Rasta another treat, he knew that lady wasn't good. If you can remember what she looked like I would file a complaint with base security, and give them a description of her, at least they'll know someone is out there trying to steal dogs on base. I am so glad Rasta is safe. He knew she was not good people. My DBF is always worried someone is going to try to steal Galen. He always has his Buddy Belt on. I do not let anyone just pick him up. And I do not let him run around in public. I agree I think the woman saw an opportunity to try and steal someone's dog. If you see her again I would call the cops. |
That is pretty scary. I would be concerned that woman wasn't alone and somebody else was waiting to help her in stealing your doggie. I am so paranoid about someone stealing Lexi. Nobody gets to pet her unless I have a pretty good hold on her. She is so friendly with everybody and would growl and anybody or anything. I wish she had a 'hey, I'm in danger here. Maybe I should not be so passive button.' Glad she's microchipped. |

dog Yorkies are cute and in demand. Please never leave your Yorkie in your car alone. People are so bold they will break a window and steal your dog. I do not trust anyone. Be very careful when taking your dog outside. These dogs are stolen and you may never see them again. |
There is no shortage of 'crazy' out there....and no telling what that lady was attempting, but wrenching your dog from you appears to have been her priority. It is a good thing you did not just 'find' Rasta...there is no telling what would have happened, but I may be wrong but I kind of doubt SHE lost a Yorkie, and I kind of doubt a lost Yorkie turned over to HER under those conditions would ever see its rightful owners again. Very scary ...glad you stood your ground. |
