That's pitiful someone would do that. I used to be upset that Rasta wasn't really "people friendly" but in this situation it worked in my favor.

Thank you for saying so! We may just have to do our walks in a neighborhood group from now on. Sad it may have to come to that.

This made me giggle. I'm tiny, but feisty too, when it comes to my kids or my puppies. I'd be livid if someone tried that on me. That would be so scary!

My top 2 rules are:

1) Don't mess with my family (pets are included)

2) Don't "play" with my money

My dad told my husband when we started dating " It's the little, pretty ones you have to watch out for when they get mad"

My husband says almost the same thing. He has to throw in that I have reddish hair and green eyes, so that's where I get my temper. ha

This is why I don't let my grand kids walk Bella. They always want to take her for a walk, but I won't let them.

I just read on AOL that Yorkies are the #1 dog stolen in the USA....I already knew that.....I guess it just makes it scarier when you see it in writing! When I bought my first Yorkie back in the '70's, that breeder warned me at least a dozen ties to NEVER let that baby out of my sight, never leave her unattended, even in my fenced in yard, and NEVER let anyone beg to hold her.....she would be stolen before I could get my feet in gear and give chase. I have honored that commitment to all of my babies since that warning so long ago, and I pass it along to all my new owners and anyone else that will listen.

I had a dream like that... Where I was out with my two pups and a stranger tried taking them and accusing me of stealing her dogs. The police came and everything! They didn't have their collars so I was trying to show pictures of them on my phone to the cops to prove that they belonged to me... I got woken up in the middle of the the dream. When I sat up, I was thinking "why didn't I just suggest we go to the vet or shelter and have their chip scanned to find out who the owner is?".

I told her "he has a penis". Rasta was acting like he was possessed growling when she would try to get close to him.

The one time I let anyone close to Rasta it was two little girls...they had to be no older than 7 and wanted to pet him. He looked so uncomfortable with having strangers touch and fuss over him I've never done it again. Now ppl can only pet (no holding) him if he comes up to them...it hasn't happened yet.
