Peeing On Her Hair HELP

These are not the greatest pics, but hopefully will give you an idea of where to trim. They were taken b4 Mimi's bath, so please excuse the messy hair.
For longer hair, you won't be trimming so close to the bum, you can leave about 2-3". If it still gets wet, you can trim some more. Area in the black box is where you want to trim. The right box is too far right. Area in the white box is the inner legs, you can trim this area if it tangles or gets wet when they pee.

I combed out the hair that is going to be trimmed.

Thank you! They're all in some sort of short cut on the body w/long hair legs now. It's just too hot & humid in southern Cali during the summer months. I do grow their hair out in the winter.

It started after she was groomed, at first I thought it was because the groomer cut her "pee string" but that grew back.
Her leg hair is about as long as it was pre-groom. I cut some of it off to help with the pee but it's still not perfect.

Mimimomo I have to ask what products you are using to keep your babies coats
so nice. My little Roxy still has her puppy coat as I am just not ready to see her in the all silver coat which is forcing its way through...lol. She has a beautiful coat but it seems to have stopped growing and doesn't appear as healthy as your babies. Please share!!

Huh that is strange. Sometimes when they get a hair cut, they lose that weight of hair, maybe that's what's changed it's getting wet. I used to have pee strings on my guys but cut it off bc I was noticing tiny pee stains on my white sheets! Too much pee was getting on there & dripping on the floor too yuck.

Thank you! Right now, we're using espree products. I like that it's almost all natural & it has coconut based cleanser, jojoba & aloe. It makes them very soft, shiny & it's good for my sensitive gal too.

I also give them fish skin chews to help clean their teeth (Beams by the Honest Kitchen & Polkadog) & it's packed w/omega 3's. Once a month, I give them unsalted sardines packed in spring water from Trader Joe's, they LOVE it but it is stinky! I hold my breath when I give it to them loll.

When my boy was growing coat to be shown I use to make 2 pony tails, 1 on each side in the area where it was getting wet from him hiking his leg. Then it got long enough to be wrapped. I do have a tiny girl that had a long coat also and when she would squat to pee her hair would drag through the pee. If she peed a lot the pad would not absorb fast enough and again drag through the pee, same with her...pony tails on each side. It looks pretty cute really, top knot on top and pony tail on each side. Also trimming the potty area helps.
