| Help !! Yorkie aggressive behavior! HELP ! My yorkie girl has been acting up really strange lately. She is only 1 year old. She always been very energetic, smart and palyful dog. Lately all she does is lay on her bed under her blanket and if anybody tries to touch her she gets very aggressive or starts to growl even with me. If I grab her she tries to bite me. She has become very possessive over one of her coats. At first it was funny but now is just frustrating. I took her to the vet. and they told me she is fine. (I'm sorry, I know how my dog ussually acts and she don't seem fine to me.) She really worries me. Today she's been laying down all day. I took her out, ate a little bit and went right to her bed again. Why is she acting so aggressive and possessive over things ? is there a way i can help her ? Please Help ! |

YT 2000 Club Member | My first thought is that she is in pain! Maybe a tooth or a tummy ache, etc. Maybe a more through exam would be in order or a second opinion.

| Thank you for your replies. I was thinking May be she really is in pain, as I tried to touch her back she growls more. Her las cycle might of been 2-3 months ago. And no she has not been spayed. Thank you !! |

| If her cycle was just 2 months ago then she could be going through a false pregnancy. Females often act weird for about two months after a heat cycle. Some even nest and go through all the symptoms of being pregnant. Their moods change and they get grumpy. Hopefully there is nothing seriously wron and she will start acting like her old self soon. It is best to get them spayed to avoid the mood swings and to keep them from getting pyometra. Please keep us posted on how she is doing.

| It really sounds like she's sick-any big change in normal behavior needs to be examined. The poor baby, please keep us posted.
