| introduction of gobar and his momma Hello my name is jessie farmer and im a proud owner of a 10 week old yorkie. Its fun to eatch him pick on his big brother, a mix that has as much energy as gobar does. My question is what's a good puppy food for him, both wet and dry, and treats. Since all the recalls im leary of what to give him. |

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | Hello and welcome to YT. There are many wonderful foods. Canine Caviar, Taste of the Wild etc. you can do a search on the bottom about dog food. There is a lot of talk and reviews of different foods. Also Check out Dog Food Reviews and Ratings | Dog Food Advisor for great recommendations.

| Hi and welcome I have always fed Blue Buffalo and it has been great for us. Everyone has a diiferent choice here. Some use Canine Caviar, Fromm, and many others. Treats that are produced in the USA are what you need to look for. And try to keep it low fat as Yorkies are prone to pancreatitis...high fat foods can bring this on. I give Mandie carrot sticks, green beans, and usually Zuke's treat bits

YT 1000 Club Member | Greetings Jessie, welcome to the Forum. I see some very good recommendations below. LOTS of great foods out there for your guys to choose from. I have 4 Dogs, and leave a bowl each of 3 kinds (Beef/Foul/Sea) of food out for them 24/7. It's pretty clear that they like the variety since they switch back and forth between the types, and, resource guarding is non-existent with my guys. This may be something you'd like to try.

| I habe heard of taste of the wild and blue buffalo. I didnt know they made wet food too. My dad gives his trucking dog pupparoni. And wont buy rawhide because i almost lost my outside dog to that. I cant get the comparison site to load either. Since he was wiened, hes been on puppy chow, but id like to get him on a better food, not as much corn. Another question. Whats a good shampoo and conditioner for him? |

| Hi and welcome. We feed ours boiled chicken for snacks. There have been so many recalls on snacks it scares me. Ours are on Hills Natural now and have been for the last year as Laddy has so many allergies we have to feed grain free. Before that we fed them Nutra Source, before that Royal Canine.
