What is your pee pad washing regimen? I know we've talked about this before, but I need some remedial training or something :D. I feel like sometimes my pee pads still smell a little pee-ish after I wash them, and I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong. Maybe I'm over-packing my washer...would that hurt the washing ability in a big way? Anyway, I use detergent, borax powder, and some vinegar when I wash...and I use warm water. For those who have a good regimen going, what are you using and how much of each ingredient are you using (ie, how much vinegar etc)? |

I've overpacked mine and they don't come clean.... I use detergent and 1/2 cup of Clorox Bleach, in hot water. (and it's a newer front load, so big loads shouldn't be a problem....lol) |

I use tide unscented and 1/2 cup borax. If they still stink try doubling the borax. |

I put in max 5 washable pee pads & wash w/dog shampoo (lol!) in warm water, cold water final rinse. Air dry. Never smells...to me anyway.:p I used to use arm & hammer detergent w/a tablespoon of ACV, that worked out nice too, no smell. |

I use bleach with mine and have never had a problem. |

I thought bleach & fabric softener were no no's. |

I use bleach tablets- they go directly in the tub with the load. I also use a sanitary cycle-it runs for an hour and a half, but I do it after 10:00 when my "free nights" kicks in. |

I use Purex detergent that Mountain scented one....and Borax powder. I only wash four at a time. I pick them up 2-3 times/day (but I have multiple pups) and wash them immediately. I think they launder best if they don't sit for a while. |

^^^ This I've noticed that too. I wash mine every to every other day (have the two, but really only Thalia uses it. Zeus holds it until he goes outside). I use borax and detergent. I use vinegar when I've waited a little too long. Don't have an issue with the smell anymore, lol. |

I wash a good size load of pads every day. I wash with only detergent twice and dry. They seem to get clean and don't smell. |
