| My Yorkie runs away from me! Stinker! Comes to me and looks like he wants to be held, I try to pick him up and he runs away! Then he comes back again, wants to be picked up only to run away again. And then he comes back Is this weird?

| Max does this when we go into the garage. He refuses to go down the one stair into the garage (too well trained, lol). When I try to pick him up, he moves away and makes a little growling noise. We do this about 3 times and then he sits for me to pick him up. Teddy waits by the car, rolling his eyes at all of this. Who knows why they play these games. They are Yorkies!

| My two do it too. At first the younger one, Jilly would come when I called. But she saw Piper's behavior and that was all it took. |

| Zoey does this too. My darling Gina never gave me a hard time. When I needed to pick her up or put her harness on I would say "assume the position" and she would freeze. My husband and I would always laugh at this. We miss her so. If there was ever a perfect yorkie that was Gina. Never growled, bit and always obeyed commands - even the dreaded come here and get your bath command.

| Bailey does the same thing. One thing I have noticed about him is that he loves to be chased around the house. So I'm thinking the YTers that do this are just saying, "Come chase me. Catch me if you can". Although Bailey does retrieve toys, he is most happy when someone chases him to get it. Silly boy! |

| Megan never did this, but Gina loves to, if I really need to grab her, I give her the hand signal to sit, then can pick her up. Sounds like he just wants to be chased, little stinker sounds about right, got to love them. Cheers Quad & Gian

| Princeton does this once and a while...but it's because he's being sneaky. Generally, when he wants to be picked up, he will come over and turn around with his butt facing me so I can pick him up. But when he wants something.....he will turn around for me to pick him up and then he will scoot out of the way and start heading towards whatever he wants me to do....generally, it's when he wants a treat or he wants to go to bed or go outside. |
