Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Fruits and Vegatables Good evening everyone. I have spent about an hour and a half on the forum looking for threads related to fruits and vegetables that we can give our babies, I have three love bugs. I have found three threads with reasonable information. Can you tell me what would be acceptable? I have already read up on what would NOT be acceptable to give a dog. However, I would like to get some feedback on what is POSITIVE that I can give to my dogs. Thank you in advance, Starlette

| Mine love carrots and green beans. Others love bananas and such but mine don't care for fruit. Stay away from grapes they are very toxic to dogs. I don't feed mine corn because it is hard for them to digest. They also love a few peas every now and then. I usually feed them raw. Mine also love pumpkin and sweet potatoes.

| Acceptable fruits and veggies that I give Ian in moderation are: string beans...green beans to southerners, sweet potatoes, carrots, green peas, blueberries, bananas, and skinless and seedless apples, but very small pieces.

| Keno loves apples, green beans and peas. I have not tried bananas but heard they can be used in a pinch to replace pumpkin for stomach issues. |

| Always in moderation, and be careful. When Teddy was a skinny pup, he reacted badly to one tiny piece of apple and a green bean. Gave him very painful gas. Some fruits and veggies can cause gas, constipation or diarrhea. Sweet potatoes can trigger pancreatis in some pups. I occasionally give my boys baby sweet peas and sweet potato.

| Have you tried giving the hard stem part of the lettuce? I thought Uni didn't like lettuce either until we tried giving the stem, and she loves the crunchiness!

| Haha, that's awesome. He takes it so he doesn't hurt mommy's feelings, then ditches it somewhere later. If Uni doesn't like something she just turns her head. Let's me know, WTH mom, is this the best you can do??!

| Huey loves carrots, green beans, raw snap peas, frozen blueberries, apples, pears, green peas, cabbage (I was scared it would make him gassy, but he tolerates it just fine) and lettuce, especially the crunchy parts as mentioned above. He will also gobble down the dried strawberries from Special K berry cereal. (As for cereals, even though you didn't ask, he loves corn flakes and rice flakes, as well as cheerios. I like to put corn flakes in his Kong since they are harder to get out & he gets more play time retrieving them.)
