| Welcome to YT!!! My recommendations are belly band to protect your stuff, combined with lots of training and vigilance. When your pup has free roam of your home, keep a watchful eye. When you see him lift his leg to mark, use a distracting noise to get his attention and follow it with a firm "no," not yelling, just a firm no. When I was training my pup, I used a clap as that always got his attention, said "no" and direct him into something else. I also would encourage marking outside, mostly because I wanted him to distinguish that inside is a pee free zone. I hope this helps!

| Welcome to Yorkie Talk. Great advice above. Is your boy neutered? Un-altered males are much more likely to mark.
