I think if they are born a licker, they will remain a licker! I have a major licker!!! He licks us, his fur brothers and sister, his toys, the floor, the couch, basically anything in reach. he will lick for hours..he can drench an entire recliner before we catch him!! good luck!

Megan was a major licker, and a smiler, Gina give a couple of quick small kisses, then she's done. Megan would lick the fur on my son's cat Holly, she's mostly Maine Coon, so she has medium length fur, it was funny to watch, even funnier when Holly would try to groom Megan. She lick her hair, we always kept it long, then Holly would get this look of why is her hair so long, and would take several seconds to get Megan's hair out of her mouth. Enjoy the kisses, I miss Megan's kisses every day, and hope that Gina will be more of a licker in time.

Chipper is an excessive licker, especially blankets. I go through bottles and bottles of Bitter Apple. Every time I wash a blanket or bed I have to spray. One of the consequences of licking blankets is that he has a lot of thread fibers in his stools. My vet told me to give him CatLax to help. I found this article and plan on checking it out with my vet.
