Time is one of the best healers. You will get through this although you will never truly forget. Only throwing yourself into helping someone else who truly needs you will cause the real healing to begin.

I'm so sorry. I wish I could forget Minnie getting that shot, but I know I never will. But it's supposed to hurt this much losing someone so special.

So sorry for your loss, I know the pain your going though. I just went though this in July when I lost my Ellie Mae a part of me died with her.
Her ashes are next to my bed on the table I sleep with her blanket and I have a neckless that holds a bit of her ashes in it so a part of her is always with me. Urn jewelry is what it's called if you want to look into it.

Songs also help even if you cry the whole time it's ok and good to morn. The dance is the song I love and dedicate to my Ellie.

I hope you find comfort and peace. Please remember all the wonderful things you gave her and a wonderful life. She loved you more then anything and you her. Please don't blame your self you did everything you could for her.

New to this forum but wanted to say how sorry I am for your loss. We have lost pets due to illness (Siamese cat had breast cancer) and it is indeed a part of the family that is taken away. Just know she will always be with you in spirit. They are our guardians no matter in spirit or physical form. {hugs}
