| I'm sure it's okay, but I've tried to use a hair bow in my little pup Bandits hair and it just didn't feel right for some reason. But, hey, to each his own and more power to ya. Enjoy your fur baby

| YT 1000 Club Member | Rasta wears bows . My hubby doesn't care as long as they're not pink or purple. I figure if you're growing the hair on their head out you have to hold the hair back with something. Why not make sure that something is cute??? |

| Your baby boy is adorable in his bow! My Brody is also very adorable in HIS bows! I'm sure you can figure out which one is Brody in this photo.

| We had this same discusssion with some dog friends. I finally pulled out the breed standard which says that yorkies wear their hair with one or two bows. They finally left my boys alone. Also the Harley and baseball bows lets everyone know that they are boys. TTheir masculinity is not at all threatened. |

| I dont begrudge anyone who puts their boy dogs in bows, but here is something I dont see mentioned yet, even among those who say their males dont wear bows-my dog, Jaeger, has made it very clear HE doesnt like bows...or any 'hairdo' of any sort. His hair gets in his eyes sometimes, but he did NOT like bows or bands in his hair at all. He has a cottony coat, so I tried styling it in a moehawk (it stands up by itself, I dont put products in his hair!) but he hates that too....Now I just trim the offending hair short enough to stay out of his eyes-not enough to know he's been trimmed, just enough to let him see.

| Wendell always has his hair in a topknot. I just use the tiny elastic bands, though, no ribbons. When people comment on it, and they often do, I tell them it's a "Samari topknot" not a "pony tail." I think I got that term on this website and it really works. It transforms his image from a girly-dog into a Warrior! |

Thank you! They LOVE being dressed up! I've seen the little bandanas...they are very cute...and look great on...especially for short hair and/or summer wear in hot climates. Glad your DH doesn't mind. Seriously, though, I don't think there is much that is cuter than a Yorkie sporting a bow on his/her topknot, though!

| I'm glad I read this thread. I have two girls and a little baby boy (well...almost nine months). I take all three to the vet together. My baby boy has seen three vets, with several more vet techs..... All have called him a girl (they say it's because of the bows in his hair). They love him to death (take him from me to show everybody), but keep calling him a girl. Not sure if I should give up correcting them! Too much trouble. He is adorable in the bows and his little topknot. Yorkie boys do wear bows!!!! |

| I want to try bows on Gizmo, waiting for his hair to grow out a bit more. Hubby says no way, I'll make him a sissy. But.... I will win in the end lol. |
