| Leukemia and Mia The last few weeks some tests have been being done on Mia2 as her white count spiked up again. She has been diagnosed with Chronic Lymphacytic Leukemia....NOT ACUTE. Presently the only symptoms she has shows in her blood work and a bit of lethargy and a cough. The cough is not normally a symptom but they have ruled out any other problem so I SAY it is a symptom. Daddy and I met with the vet team this morning and were given all our options. Regardless of what we do Mia's not expected to live much longer than 3 years. We have elected NOT to do chemotherapy, steroids and another drug (can't remember what it was called). We have decided to take it one day at a time and deal with the symptoms or problems as they arise. We want her quality of life left here with us to be as good as it can be and we are both committed to making sure that happens....Mia, like her sister was...is very loved and we are extremely grateful for having gotten the chance to have her in our life. Please good thoughts and prayers for Mia.

| I'm so sorry about sweet Mia. I had a 4yr. old with terminal cancer (lymphoma) & never regretted my decision to not go the chemo route. Roxie was happy every day for the rest of her life & I was lucky to share that time with her. You're a great mom-take care.

| Oh, Lynzy, I am so sorry to hear this diagnosis. I was so hoping it would be something easily treatable and curable. Continuing with prayers.

| I'm so sorry to hear Mia is dealing with this. I lost my doberman to cancer years ago and we weren't about to put her through chemo either. It just stinks having to make a decision between two bad options. Hugs to you and Mia, Lynzy.

| Lynzy, I am so sorry and horrified to read about Mia's awful diagnosis and her future. I know you will make her time left here on earth as pleasant and memory-filled as possible. Here is hoping you have many good times left with her.

| Thank you everyone. As I read this she is laying next to me trying to catch the cursor on the screen! She is sooooo funny. I was thinking how much Mini and Vinnie are dependent on her...Mia entertains Vinnie, endlessly playing... and protects Mini from Vinnie! LOL ...She's the Mother Theresa of the 3!!! So peaceful and always wanting peace among her furblings! The ex keeps texting asking how she is...he is sooooo sensitive to this kind of thing but I'm about to change my phone number if he don't stop.....lol
