| flea spray What flea sprays do you guys use instead of the bathing? Darla goes in on Saturday to be weighed to see if she's hit 5#'s to try and place her on Tricepa (ok I know I didn't spell that right) to see if that will help with the fleas. I will vacuum again tonight and wash her bedding and blankets and mine too this weekend. But I just bathed her 2 nights ago and put a flea collar on her and she's still itching like crazy especially when she goes to sleep with me at night |

| Well, flea collars are very dangerous.. it may do more harm than good. I would take that off immediately, plus she is way too small it have that much poison on her. We use K-9 Advantix II, always have. Never had a flea on him. You can always use half of what the amount is..

YT 2000 Club Member | dog Have you seen fleas? Could it be her food. That causes dogs to itch if they are allergic to it. I would not spray. Dogs lick themselves and if she ingests that poison that would be terrible. I used revolution that I got from my vet It works for my boys. I hope you can figure out what to do. |

| Oh yes I've seen fleas too. I haven't changed her food at all. Same food since April. Only change was 2 months ago with the wet I give her a little in the morning. I went from Deli fresh to the blue buffalo wet in the small fat round cans. She gets a tablespoon in her dry in the morning wet'd down with hot water in the morning only. She eats it in about 3 mins and comes out rubbing her face in my carpet |

| Yesterday I put Sentry (trying this for 1st time) on Hannah..about 1/2 tube after giving her a bath and I hate that oily look on her. Her vet gave me Combo Guard which is a pill for both fleas and heartworms. I do think that I am going back to that or at least a pill form. The stuff you put on their back just washes off when you bath them and is a waste of money. I do not know about your pup but mine has to be bathed at least once a week. I've also noticed that Frontline is not working as good as it used to on my other dogs. My Chi is on Advantage. She never gets a bath and it is not day 30 yet and I saw a flea on her last night. Frustrating huh!

| I've never had a flea problem I couldn't control with my big dogs and living in Arizona where they are in high demand. Here I can't win for lose. I can't fog my home because the turtles are hibernating. All I can do is bath, wash and vacuum and they are still here. Yes I get the eggs that are laid can take up to 9 months to actually hatch and an adult flea lays 50 eggs a day but this is obsurd. I've been fighting fleas forever it seems. So frustrating. Even dawn soap doesn't help. nope pesky suckers I tell you!!! |

YT Addict | Trifexus or whatever it is called is seriously a miracle worker. We give it to our two every month and we never have any problems at all. I live in Alabama in the country so they are always outside playing and of course they pick up every flea but with that medicine I never hardly see any of them. When the fleas got bad on them though, I washed them with a mix of vinegar and Dawn dishwashing soap and the fleas literally fell off of them.

YT 3000 Club Member | have you looked into flea busters, it is a powder that is awsome and it is not harmful and works for a year, the best thing they ever invented as far as IM concerned. The stuff is messy to aplly but it is worth it |
