| ![]() Is an an orthopedic specialist? If no cancel the surgery and find one it will be worth it. There have been people who had a regular vet do the surgery and then had to have a orthopedic vet go in and fix it. My Yorkie Callie had LP surgery and the first week was the worst she would not eat, drink or use the bathroom and even on two pain meds she was hurting. She had to stay in the play pen for 8 weeks and I just bought a cheap baby one. It's very important to do everything the surgeon says or it could mess things up. Good luck.
