You mean there is an alternative? Haha. I don't sew (or cook, for that matter) so store bought is my only option.

Our local, family-owned "Pets 'n Pals" pet store has held a Halloween Pet-Costume Contest for several years. it is so much fun to see all the ideas that the owners come-up with! Since I'm not a seamstress, I just find a ready-made costume for Taffy, so we can attend. I told the owner & his wife to please pick a "child & their pet" for a prize winner and not to worry about giving Taffy any "prize"--we're just there for the fun. Every "participant" gets a Halloween Treat Bag with some of the store's goodies in it. The owner's wife also takes a camera photo of each pet & owner as a souvenir, which is a nice keepsake. So far, Taffy's been a skeleton (twice), a red devil, a pumpkin, a cowboy, and this year he's going as an "Angel", complete with Halo. My "favorite winner" was a little boy & his hamster! His Grandma and the boy built a scary-looking graveyard using a large box lid covered with dried florist moss, old tree branches + "cob webs," and made different types of cardboard, stand-up "tombstones" with messages on some, like 'Rest in Peace', etc. The little boy put a white "ghost" cloth over his hamster & tied a ribbon around its neck ...it had 'eye holes'...and then turned his hamster loose inside the "graveyard" to walk around--it was so cute! Everybody was laughing! That really took some time to make! He Got a Prize--a $35.00 store gift certificate. Little boy was so proud!!

Not sure what it will be this year but Tessa does have costumes to choose from. We will be hanging crazy lights and pumpkin carving again this year
