I think NB also has frequent buyer programs, where you get a free bag after ? bags. Check w/your local pet store.

Yeah, it is not so much the size of the bag as the Price Tag.. They are not eating Natural Balance now anyway .. They are currently eating Precise Holistic but it has too many ingredients and it is making them itchy.. The reason I need to find a limited ingredient kibble.. I think I am going to go with Verus.. I love the limited ingredients and the fact that it is a privately owned company.. I can get a 30 lb bag on Chewy.Com for $49.99 VeRUS Life Advantage Chicken Meal, Oats And Brown Rice Formula Dry Dog Food

| YT 2000 Club Member | Dogs with allergies, I had a poodle with severe skin allergy and the derm dr. said to put her on venison dog food. I did and she cleared up. Just an idea if you are at your wits end with allergies, try this food. |

| Ohio Pet Foods is GREAT; one of the best pet food manufacturing facilities, IMO! I think CC is over-priced for what it is, but it seems to work well for dogs with sensitivities. And I do really like their ingredient panel and guaranteed analysis. Some of the formulas are a bit too high in ash for my liking. But overall, I think it's a good choice, and lots of dogs do well on it.

Annamaet and Dr. Tim's are other good foods made at Ohio Pet. Also, I believe Regal is made there... http://www.regalpetfoods.com/dog_food.html

I think Verus is a good choice too.. I like everything about the company .. I like the ingredients too , even the Vitamin Pre-Mix is 100% USA made.. Let's hope my dogs are as happy with it as I am

I need to revise part of the comment above... The Vitamin Pre-Mix is Not 100% USA made but it is 100% Non-Chinese ingredients. I emailed Verus to ask about the the Vitamin Pre-Mix and this is the response.. Russell Armstrong <russell@veruspetfoods.com> 7:59 AM (13 minutes ago) to me, krystle Hi Wanda, Excellent question, Most pet food companies will tell you that they use no chinese ingredients. If you follow up, you will find out that when they say ingredients, they are not referring to the vitamins or minerals. China is now the only source of most pet grade vitamins and minerals because no one else in the world can make them so cheap. Of course, they are cheap because there are no inspections, guarantees, or certifications, that they are what they say. Or that they don't contain poisonous or harmful additives like melamine. Our vitamin mix and our mineral mix are 100% non-chinese sourced. All but three of the vitamins/minerals are USA sourced. The others are European. Most of our vitamins and minerals are human grade or pharmaceutical grade. They are more expensive, but also, better quality, US produced, inspected, and safe for your pet. I feed Verus Opticoat to my on dog, Scupper, and my cats eat the Feline, so I am very critical of what I will put in my food. I hope this helps. Thanks, Russell Last edited by WJM; 09-23-2013 at 04:51 AM.
