For Izzy I started off young. She is 10 months old now and she loves clothes. She hates bows or anything in her hair and takes them out but she loves any clothes

. I think you just need to put it on and distract them at first then they totally forget about it!

Here, it would just be for "fashion" and totally not functional.I was given a couple of T´s from a german woman a little while back, but Milo and Bella wanted nothing to do with them.
Infact, after putting Milo in his little blue shirt and taking a picture, he managed to get out of it and then pee on it lol.

Now, if I lived somewhere with really cold winters with snow and all, then yes, I´d think they needed to be covered outside, and I´d also have a carrier for extra warmness incase we stopped somewhere etc.
Yorkies dont have double coats so yes, they do feel the cold easier.As for getting them used to wearing clothes, I have no idea, but as with anything else, I´m guessing you just have to start them off really young and put them in clothes every day for a short period of time so that they get used to wearing them.I´m not sure.

Well Milo really told you how he felt about that shirt lol

My boys have thick jackets for winter so they can go outside and not get too cold. Other than that they don't wear most clothing

My boys don't have a lot of clothes, but I enjoy dressing them up. I'm surprised that they like it. They act like it is their duty, and they get excited when I bring home new things for them.

Galen was not a fan of clothes. And I really did not have that much. Just a silly bunny outfit he so was not a fan. But I think know that he is shaved, he does not give me a problem. I think he is realizing that it is keeping his skinny butt warm.

Because Yorkies have a single hair and not a double like most dogs, clothing can be functional. Joey's breeder said that when you need a sweater, so do they. It's very warm here, but with AC's it can get cool for them even in the summertime. In the winter, they definitely need a hoodie or sweater.

Laddy will come to me everyday waiting for a shirt or sweater. He has skin issues so thinner hair and gets chilled even on warm days. Kyra gives me the stink eye and pouts for 10 minutes every time I dress her so she goes without most of the time. When we go for walks or out she doesn't bat an eye at putting on a pretty harness dress lol. Funny little things they are.

Max is gorgeous....I think I'm gonna grow Dooney's hair out.

I too dress Dooney up, it's more fun for me...it's been warm here, can't wait for fall/winter for sweaters and jackets. He doesn't mind it.

Max is beautiful & I love that sweater!

Lexie never got dressed up before i had her, but she was always so easy. She quickly figure out getting dressed meant Mama's gonna take her somewhere = fun!

Like me (and unlike many yorkies), she is ALWAYS HOT!!! Good thing we are in CO, or i'd never be able to dress her up. I have a bunch of cute harnesses for minimal dressing up.

Trinket didn't like clothes as a very young pup. She would escape from them. Now that she is used to it, she will come put her head in when she sees me with a garment. Then she prances around. She also got used to me putting her hair in a top knot.
She now holds still for me.
We wear light dresses in the summer time. Gets hot here but cool in the house. In winter, she wears long sleeve pajamas most of the day at home. Our house is pretty cool towards the floor. In winter, going out usually I have to wrap her in a blanket or she will shiver.

Thank you! The sweater is by Oscar Newman. It is called the Prep Me Up Argyle Sweater. I wish it came in my size. They are pricey, but so beautifully made with lots of hand-detailing. I love the rolled cuffs. It comes in pink too:

I'm sure Kyra is very entertaining when she pouts and gives you stink eye. Going out walking right away is a great way to get doggies accustomed to clothes, just like harnesses or hair bows. They are so focused on their adventure that they forget what they are wearing.

Our Roscoe Liam has allergies and hair loss, so we got him a "Rock Star" T-shirt to deter his scratching. We finally found a good food for him - Nutrice, and are giving him fish oil as recommended by a vet assistant. We are hoping this all works and his hair will soon grow back on his back half.
