| Tiger was exclusively on Chicken Soup until last week. I was on the opposite side of town and stopped in at another store to see if they carried Chicken Soup. They carried it, but were out. I read the label for Merrick's brand and decided to give it a try. Tiger does like it too and you can actually see fruits, vegetables, and bits of meat in it. My only complaint is that on Chicken Soup, Tiger had NO eye goop, but he has had some since beginning him on Merrick's. I will probably go back to straight CS when the Merrick's is gone.

| I am really enjoying this thread! Its really making me feel good about my food choices! Now lets hope that Pixie agrees with me when she gets home! She is on Eukanuba right now, so I will have to slowly switch her over.... Here's hoping it will work!

| I had mine of Science Diet Lamb and Rice until they were one year old, then switched to Royal Canin because it is small. So far, it's fine, they love it. I also use the Natural Balance Lamb and Rice Roll, just a little mixed in. |

| Innova EVO all the way for the past year. I was feeding the Old Mother Hubbard food the one with fish and sweetpotato that is supposed to help with the coat. It was a good food, but did not help improve coat condition. |

| Since Lucy was a puppy mill rescue I have no idea what she was on before we got her, probably Old Roy. She was so skinny that we gave her Iams canned the first week. The only "quality" food I could find here in my little town. She ate like a liittle pig, then went after the big dogs food. They get the Kirkland Lamb and Rice from Costco. I did finally get her a bag of the Yorkshire food from Royal Canin. She liked it ok, but I think at that point she would eat anything. She finally reached her saturation point after about 3 weeks and now she is a bit more picky. My husband got a bag of Eucanuba because that was recommended to him, and she will eat it, if she has to. But she would much rather steal Griffs big dog food. She makes a million trips through the kitchen to sneak bites from his bowl to hers. I finally started putting a few kibbles of his in the bottom of her bowl and her stuff over it. That seems to work, but she is still a nibbler. Two people at pet food places have told me that Chicken Soup is a designer food, and not all that great. It all gets so confusing, trying to figure out if people are making recommendations just to sell their own brands they like or what is really best. I mean people at the stores. I do read the ingredients and that helps, but it still gets so confusing. |

| We feed Nutro Lamb and Rice....it was the first food that Magic (who has a very sensitive stomach) did not have any problems with. We have tried several of the others - Royal Canin, Science Diet and Iams/Eukanuba....all of them keep her stomach upset and us at the vet office. We have seen the Chicken Soup products at a Dallas pet store and thought about it.....but our vet thinks that Magic is sensitive to Chicken and Corn....so we decided to stay with Nutro Lamb and Rice Small Bites and we mix in the Nutro Lamb and Rice Dental at times. Good luck deciding.....there are lots of options!
