| Why the Humping? Chelsea is now 13 months, recently she started to hump the pillows in our den. She is spayed, but loves to do the dirty dancing with my pillows. If we ignore her, she continues, until she is exhausted. What causes a Yorkie to behave in this manner? Hugs, Chelsea'sMom |

| Female Dominance! My mom after having poodles for years now has chi's, all of her girls hump eachother! Its them trying to dominate the other dog... lol Her vet says its no big deal. We used to laugh at the poodles and show our friends when we were kids! Very funny unless you have company over, it can be a bit embarresing.... And yes, they hump the pillows, the stuffed animals, you name it they will hump it! its awesful.... I will call her and she says... "Baby! Stop humping that penguin!" So sorry! it may pass, sometimes it is just part of growing up...

| WELLLL...YOU got me thinking! She didnt start this until we got our little dog-guest Yorkie. Maybe it IS female dominance. Our visitor has been here since Oct. 18, and just now got a call from her owner, she will be coming home on Sunday, and will pick up her puppy on Monday. It will be interesting to see if this "dirty dancing" will stop! Thank you, Kathryn for the tip. Hugs, Chelsea'sMom |

| Oh come on girls...they do it because it feels good... I have a 13 year old spayed female that goes round and round on her donut bed and you should see her face when she is done.... Honestly I had never seen a female do this before and I am not sure if it is domination in this case but she is having a good time so what the heck

| What is surprising is that sometimes they do the humping motion before they are even old enough to go to their forever homes. That "must.....dominate....pillow" cracked me up!!!!! |

| Humpin' & Smilin'! OHHHHHHHH...for SURE she is having a grand time, you should see the big smile on her face! Now, if I can get the pillow to stop smiling, things would be back to normal here.. Hugs, Chelsea'sMom |

| My vet says that females may hump pillows arms, other dogs before they go into heat. Cricket did this right before her first heat. |

| Kelsey will only hump ME...my legs or arms...it's really gross. I went out and bought her a full sized polar bear a little bigger than her and she never humped it or anything besides me. She isn't fixed yet. Did anyone experience their furbabies humping BEFORE they got fixed or after their first heat? Kelsey has started humping after her first heat and is not fixed yet....she will be soon. Im hoping this passes once I get her fixed.
