| heat cycle and spaying question I just scheduled a spay appointment for September 26th. She just started her first heat cycle on this tuesday. The vet recommended spaying 3-4 weeks from now but I think it is too soon so I scheduled at 6 weeks instead. What do you guys think?

| I've heard it's best to wait at least síx weeks. It's a much more involved surgery if you do it sooner.

| I think waiting 6 weeks after her heat cycle is over is a good time to have it done.
