What kind of Flea Meds do you use?

I've always used Frontline and a short time switched to Advantix II. Thinking about getting Advantix II again this time but I'm just not sure. Going to have to figure something out soon. My oldest girl is allergic to fleas and I hate to see her go without preventative.

And you shouldn't use any topical for two days after a bath or swimming. The oils in the coat are what spread the solution around the body and when you give a bath, you're washing that oil away. You need to let it come back otherwise you're pretty much wasting your money.

That's what my vet told me too! Crazy that these little pests could be ammune to something like that?!

Since Billi is so small and young, my vet put her on a half dose of Advantage (not Advantix) 2. Definitely going to try Talstar, I can't stand fleas!!

According to my vet, they did stop making Sentinal for a while, but they just put it back on the market again. I was able to pick up packs of it a few months ago.

Sentinel is now being sold again. This is what I use. I remember when they stopped producing it for awhile so I bought enough for my 3 girls to last until it went back into production, BUT it is now back and your Vet should have it.
