I've been reading your post from the start and I can't tell you how happy I was to hear that you took this poor little baby out of harms way. I've been thinking about her. You are a real angel.

Thank you Linda! She's doing good and really making herself at home. My DH is watching her right now while Hannah sleeps in my lap as I type. Ah not so sure about brave. My heart gets me in trouble all the time! Just ask my DH. We really didn't need another dog right now but I'm letting the good man up above lead me. Oh yes...names. Oh no..Names!!! It took me almost a week to name Hannah. Oh well...I'll see those lil personalities shine through the very second they are born.

I am very happy to hear that Lola is doing so well, and what a good report from the vet! She is adorable...can hardly wait to see more pix her and soon pix of the pups with Mommy Lola. Such a young thing herself. But, everything just seems to have lined up to help sweet Lola, and you, and her pups...and hopefully will continue to do so. Good job, Joyce! :)

Awwww! She is so darling! Can't hardly stand to think a out her past life - SOS am grateful for the life your family is giving her.

I know. She's too young to be having puppies! I looked at her little face this morning and all I could think about was why would someone let a young lady like her stay outside without even a fence to protect her. If I lived in that house I would of at least tried to find her a home. When I had her checked for a chip I was hoping I would find some sweet person that was missing her terribly and it would be a happy reunion. My gut tells me that she had an owner that loved her at one time but I know it wasn't at the place where she was staying.

For all of you that have been keeping up with Lola...She delivered 7 adorable puppies Saturday evening; 5 Girls & 2 Boys. She did great and the only time I had to jump in and help was to move the ones that had already been born away from the delivery area (her backside). I was so afraid they would get wrapped up in the cord with the newer ones that were coming. She was soo exhausted Saturday night but was resting easier by Sunday. I bathed her today and she and babies are resting comfortably. Well the Vet was just a little off as he predicted 4 possibly 5 pups but they just kept coming. :eek: Lola is a great little mommy and doesn't seem to mind me being around her pups. I'm sure we will keep her but her babies will go to good homes. I'm so glad I brought her home and that the babies were not born under that house with all those fleas. The man next door asked about her on Friday and said that the lady was wondering what happened to her. She confessed that Lola was not hers but was a stray. I started to tell him that I brought her home but when I thought about how no one else really cared I felt it was none of their business.

Wow...that a lot of puppies!! Congrats Lola :) And hats off to you for taking such great care of her & actually whelping!! Glad to know that everyone is healthy. Thanks so much for keeping us updated. Can't wait to see pics of the new family :)

I will be posting pictures soon! Lola doesn't want to go outside to potty very often and I don't want to make her nervous but maybe when it cools off later today I'll let all of my other dogs outside and be able to get some good photos.

No worries!! No rush for the photos! I'm sure you have other way more important things to do. Like taking care of a new mommy & SEVEN puppies ;) Is anyone helping you? I wish I was near you. I would help you out in a second. Bless you for having the heart & strength to do this.
