I would definitely take her somewhere, esp if she's prego. Her puppies probably won't have a snowballs chance if you don't.

I am guessing your husband probably doesn't want to upset the neighbors, but if she's not confined to her yard, she could have ran away or easily been picked up anyways.

I guess the good news is...if they can't speak english, they can't ask if you've seen the dog:)
Poor little thing, and how great it is she has someone looking out for her!! I agree, sounds like she's better off trying to get her into rescue than where she's at currently. Does your community leave leash laws? Depending on your local shelter, you could call and have her picked up for running loose and have a rescue lined up to take her if she's not claimed when her 5 day holding period is up.

Ok...Whew what a day! Relief in sight! I have her home after picking up some Capstar and like I said before What a FLEA FEST!!! OMG poor little thing. Waiting on it take affect and then will see how she does with a Dawn bath for tonight. Hubby is bringing home Ex-Pen and you can bet she will sleep comfortably tonight..indoors, a/c and no dang fleas. Had vet run a check for chip to make sure that someone is not looking for their little girl and guess not. Tomorrow she gets check up and decision made on pups.

I've been calling her Lola for a few months now so that is Officially her name. Thank you everyone for the help and support. I was a total mess today..sorry!! Have a great night..I know I will...It's Lola (bath)time!
Oh and after that it's Hannah and Holly and Roxanna and Sassy and Jasmine and Bisquit time.

Funny....when I read this I was going to post..."just do the right thing and get this pup, worry about the rest later"....then I looked and saw it was you Joyce....I knew you would do the right thing and I'm so proud of you, really, really, really, proud of you and grateful there are people like you...

Glad to hear that worst part is over. Plenty of work, but so much love in return. She'll be so much happier and better off. You're a wonderful angel to help her this way. Enjoy your 'me and the kids' time...lol Looking forward to updates. :)

I'm sure it wasn't a easy decision for you or your husband to save her and bring her home. But it just goes to show how big of a heart you two have. Thank you.

Joyce, one of the rescuers I know and contacted is reaching out to some friends of hers to see if anyone can help this girl....
Last I spoke with you, you said you might keep her and foster her...if that is the case, please let me know so I can let her know!

You go Girl!! I know it was't an easy decision, but I think it was the right one. The puppies would not have survived under that porch and the mother might not have made it either.

Hopefully a rescue or a no-kill shelter will help you with her and the puppies!! I bet she feels SOOO good now that she's had a bath to wash all of the filth and neglect off. Your house will be like a palace to her! I am sure she is very grateful!

You are a doll for saving her!! You are thinking with your heart...and that is a good thing. No one else was going to do what you did and I shudder to think what might have happened to her and her puppies outside like that. I hope we can find someone to help you because dealing with a mom and puppies can be overwhelming and expensive.
