There is no research that shows that animals that are allowed to simulate mating are happier or better pets. In fact, it has been shown that unneutered males are more likely to die from accidents trying to get out to mate and they tend to "mark" more. I've read the reviews by people who have purchased your product. Some love it, others have expressed the same concerns that I have, mainly that it can be wiggled out of and an unintended breeding can occur. Bottom line, it's nothing I would ever use nor recommend.

| ![]() Don't you have to be a DONATING Member to advertise your site on YT? Instead of getting sad, why don't you stand behind your product & explain to us HOW your product works & HOW it doesn't injure the boy's wee wee. You obviously tested your product for a very long period of time, where's the study & what did you study? The effectiveness of the birth control for male dogs? I also do not understand the video of your Yorkies constantly going @ it...it looks torturous to me, the poor boy only has one thing on his mind & he can't even release that stress. Also, what is the health condition that a dog can't get spayed or neutered until they're 2 years old?

| ![]() I just cannot imagine any dog not being frustrated by that simulation, and never getting to complete the act. I mean seriously how would you feel never having that satisfaction? |

| ![]() Oh gosh, youtube 'stud stopper'. So sad. I feel horrible for both the male and female. That poor girl is not left alone and poor guy keeps going after her. I could not imagine that... Poor guy is probably so stressed. Thank goodness my two are spayed and neutered. I don't care how long this product has been tested, I would never buy it.

![]() ![]() I'm sorry. I can't get my mind around this. In my opinion, that looks as easy to flip over to the side as a belly band. That poor female.... She's being harassed! And him!! That poor boy. according to the video "No more separation anxiety" ok... I'll give you that.... I think.... But what about the frustration of wanting to mate, and then banging a sensitive body part against that plasticky, leathery (?) thing. Yes... That looks very comfortable for both dogs....

Personally, I don't see any reason to use a stud stopper. It just seems unnecessary. The easiest solution is spay/neuter OR to separate the dogs using crates in separate rooms where the doors are shut. Letting the dogs run around together with a stud stopper or a belly band or a diaper is risky, IMO. If the dogs somehow work around the contraption, you have an unwanted pregnancy...and dogs seem to be very good at getting around the road blocks to prevent them from mating...just look at all the "oopsies" in the breeding section. The best way to prevent an unwanted pregnancy is to either a.)spay/neuter or b.) keep the female in heat completely isolated from any in tact male dogs. While I can appreciate the "out of the box" thinking and am grateful there are other alternatives, I just am not convinced that this is the best way to prevent a pregnancy. Since you've tested the product, how many times has there been a slip. Even human condoms and birth control aren't fool proof. I can't imagine this would be 100% fool proof either. If I ever used the stud stopper, I'd never even think about leaving the 2 dogs unattended just in case it slipped...but I have a feeling that there are people that are out there that would buy this thinking that this is a way they can leave their two dogs unattended together...and that's when the oopsies could happen. | |
