| Update on Oscar's Potty Training Oscar @ almost 2 years old is still 100 % outside potty trained.. I think he likes to potty outside Here is the story for those of you that haven't heard it Up until Oscar was 7 months old he would pee and poop wherever HE wanted. It did not matter what type or how many potty pads were all over the house. He refused to use them.. I was at the end of my Rope.. Then I found the Rascal Dog Litterbox. This uses a grate system.. I unfolded an ex-pen and used it to section off 1/2 of our living room to keep him confined and within 2 weeks Oscar was using the box 100%. Yay ! He used this up until he was 1 1/2 years old.. After a lot of thought I then decided to try outside potty training him.. I took up the litterbox and started to take Oscar out first thing in the morning , ,every 30 minutes, after meals , after naps.. I swear within a matter of days he was 100% outside potty trained.. When we go out to do errands ( no more than 4 or 5 hours) he has no accidents in the kitchen .. I am amazed at how fast he took to the outside potty . He is such a smart boy, he even tells me when he needs to go out. I am so proud of him Of course I must include a Pic |

| I wonder if it would work the opposite way....we are now somewhat outside trained. I wonder if my two could learn to use the rascal box inside.

| Way to go Oscar!! ...and Mommy I should really follow your lead. I just get nervous about them going outside in the winter when it's freezing outside - and snowing.

Well Oscar loves the snow and outside so i am not too worried about winter. I was however worried about the rain but he goes right out in it and does his business no problem... Unless it is a heavy downpour then i wait till it slows down, I don't want him drown | |

| Way to go Oscar! Your mom had me worried with the other thread that simply said, "Update on Oscar." I didn't know it was good and great! Teddy was 100% outdoor trained by his breeder when we brought him home at 8 months. I re-trained him to use piddle pads when outdoors is not available.
