| Biting is normal with puppies but does need to be controlled so it doesn't turn into a bad habit. Do not let them bite any part of you. I always yelp when they pup nibbles on me. Teaches him that it hurts (even if it doesn't ) this is something his littermates would do. Also always have a toy near by to redirect. When he goes to nibble, give him his toy and tell him yes and praise when he uses it. Begin obedience training, start teaching basic commands. It will take time. My boy was about 7 months old before stopped biting our ankles and at 11 months he still gets a bit mouthy when playing, which I stop playing and ignore him for a bit. He realizes and stops but it still happens. He will out grow it so be patient and keep working on it so he learns what is acceptable |
