She was very nice and responsive to my questions, but not pushy at all. I do not plan to get a pup for her but in the interest of fairness, I did want to clarify those points. |

She was very nice and responsive to my questions, but not pushy at all. I also called her vet and was told that she was well known to them and they spoke very highly of her. I do not plan to get a pup for her but in the interest of fairness, I did want to clarify those points. |
I don't usually post when others are more quaified, but for some reason, I am posting. I just looked at that website. If you are wanting to research like this and find a reputable breeder, then keep looking. I can't guarantee that I'm right in my opinion on this one, but I can guarantee that there are certainly BETTER choices out there. A few things from that site: 1. The obvious use all over the place of "teacup" 2. Why does she post the weights and specs of the sires but not the dams? 3. What traits in a Yorkie are you looking for? I would not pay money for many traits I see in the dams on that site. They are all cute. All Yorkies and dogs are cute, but they aren't up to the Yorkie standards. The hair on a few is coarse and sparse, at least one's ears are not up, ... If you are going thru all of the work of researching like this...and it's great that you are...keep looking because you can do a lot better and may even have heartache from this one on this website you posted. ETA: I would always take the breeder's/seller's vet's words with a grain of salt. They make money off of this client/patient. Just sayin. |

I am not an expert but looking at the website she is asking 2900 for her pups and looking at the pups for sale they don't look anywhere near show quality, which if I am not mistaken you could get for close to that price. |
For those who have not seen the review thread for this breeder: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/bre...se-review.html |
Thanks, Sandy...l didn't know that thread was there |

Yup But even if that vet was 100% honest, seriously how do you know, unless you also have a long term relationship with the vet? It can be part of the parcel of evaluation but only part and not a very huge part. All pre breeding screening tests should be posted; otherwise why do them. Most especially those that earn you a CHIC number. I would personally like all future pet owners to ask for CHIC numbers on the dogs that have been bred. Know what health tests are recommended by www.ytca.org and all the others that are available out there. Until the public starts asking at least about specific health tests, and passes on breeders who don't do them, well then the public encourages breeders not to do them. |

If a breeder is going to claim that they have tested their dogs, I want to see some kind of proof. |
